Privacy

Your data, briefly

This site collects as little as it can. Here is what happens, in plain words.

The mask studio

When you create a masked portrait, your photo is resized in your browser (which also removes its location and camera data) and sent over an encrypted connection to Google’s Gemini service, which returns the edited image. We do not store your photo or your portrait, and we do not use them for anything else. Google processes the request under the Gemini API terms. Images made by Gemini carry Google’s invisible SynthID watermark.

Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed. You must be 16 or older to use the studio.

Your bag

The items in your bag are kept in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there next time. Nothing is sent to us. When you check out, you continue on the official Claptone store, where its own policies apply.

Shop, mailing list and contact forms

Orders, the mailing list and the booking and management forms are run by the official store at claptone.com. See its privacy policy, terms of service and legal notice.

Music and media

Clapcast episodes stream from the show’s podcast host. The music players are Spotify’s own embedded player, loaded only as you scroll to them; Spotify may set its own cookies there, under its own policy. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram and Bandsintown take you to those services, where their own policies apply.
